The fifth edition of the now-traditional Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille will take place on Sunday the 30th  June  2019. This Sunday rendezvous for fans of beautiful motor cars – but not only – has become a not-to-be-missed event for all lovers of the Art de Vivre à la Française.

Families, ladies, gentlemen, keen fans of the arts and gastronomy will be honoured with numerous free activities that have been specially devised to bring them all together for a Sunday in the country combining pleasure and discovery.

Art enthusiasts

The simply curious as well as refined connoisseurs will be in cloud nine with a new exhibition in the Condé museum devoted to La Joconde Nue for the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci. They can also stroll around the château and visit the Horse Museum with the Great Stables where they will discover treasures of our French Heritage. 

Equestrian art enthusiasts

Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille is firmly installed in the French capital of the Horse; and this year it will again spotlight equestrian art with pony rides for the kids and rides for the family in horse-drawn carriages from Versailles, which will set the pace for this day in the countryside. Pierre Fleury, a well-known artist and trainer, will put on a show with high-level acrobatics around the big central mirror. Surprise activities will also be laid on to entertain lovers of equestrian arts throughout the day. 


To learn and make the perfect Chantilly with the Confrérie des Chevaliers Fouetteurs, take advantage of the Food trucks, participate in a cooking workshop for children with the Relais & Châteaux chefs, young and grown-up epicureans’ taste buds will be satiated. A huge garden party will fill the Le Nôtre gardens in which each one will be free to laze around in a refined ambience worthy of the most illustrious paintings of the Impressionists. 

Ladies & Gentlemen

A Beauty Truck, hair-dressing and make-up workshops will help the most coquettish look their attractive best. A reminder to the most daring: the prize for the most beautiful hat will be awarded in the afternoon to the lady who has donned the most sophisticated headwear. The  Veronica Marucci “Maison” is delighted to offer the winner a voucher for €.500  to be exchanged in their boutique or among one hat on display at the event. Dandies too will be pampered by the Gentlemen 1919 barber’s as well as the famous shoe shiner George & Georges who will take care of lovers of exceptional shoes.

Pleasures that roll back the years…

All generations can meet up around the activities offered in the Chantilly domain including children’s games and games from the past. Small sulkies, pedal cars and playful make-up workshops will amuse the kids who will also come across a magician, a Guignols theatre and stands with retro fun fair games. Budding sailors can take part in a regatta for Optimists* on the Grand Canal or test their skills with radio-controlled sailing boats (small sailing dinghies for youngsters). For grown-up games in wood and flower bars as well as trips in Caravelle yachts will revive their childhood memories. And if they feel like taking to the airs, first flights in balloons will be organised all day long.
